We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join a dynamic research team in the area of stem cell biology and immunology. The Research Associate will conduct cell culture experiments with stem cell- and primary tissue-derived cell populations, and closely interact with other lab members to design and execute projects. The individual will learn and apply molecular biology and immunology techniques on models of development and immune diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology, cell culture or molecular biology.

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Maintenance Co-Generation Engineer III supervises the maintenance and repair of 13,000 volt main circuit breakers and steam, electricity, and chilled water systems. Responsible for management of Power Plants maintenance function and the operation of the machine shop. Supervises the Co-Generation Engineers I and II’s, Electricians and other Maintenance Personnel. Responsible for total operation of Power Plant in the absence of the Director.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Director or designee, the Supervisor of Eligibility Operations manages a group of staff who conduct client case analysis, process benefit eligibility determinations and provide telephonic client assistance in a fast-paced, call-heavy environment. The Eligibility Operations Supervisor will ensure adequate staffing levels for the various operational tasks, offer guidance to staff in matters of policy and procedure, handle escalated phone calls that require special assistance or intervention, conduct regular staff reviews to encourage excellence and take corrective action where necessary, offer training presentations, lead meetings, and be responsible for the overall quality of reporting staff’s work. The State Supplement Program (SSP) is a Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) program that provides approximately $200 million annually in cash payments to more than 190,000 low-income, aged and disabled residents of Massachusetts. The Health Care Finance Solutions (HCFS) group in Commonwealth Medicine, a division of UMass Medical School, administers the SSP on behalf of DTA.

The Medical Director, MassHealth Long Term Services & Support reports to the MassHealth Chief Medical Officer/Director of the Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) and works directly with the MassHealth Chief of Office of Long Term Services and Support(OLTSS) and Secretary of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA), as well as collaborates with Commissioners of the Departments of Mental Health(DMH), Developmental Disabilities (DDS) , and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC). Serves as a clinical resource for OCA and EOHHS programs as well as MassHealth providers and will focus on developing innovative approaches for improving the quality, efficiency, and appropriateness of care delivered to MassHealth members. Develops creative approaches to enhancing the principles of independent living and consumer direction. Serves as a thought leader on LTSS population health management and the integrated health model, with an eye towards system-wide value enhancements that improve the health equity of MassHealth members, especially through the implementation of best practices and technological solutions or other enhancements.

We are a young, dynamic group looking for highly motivated post-doctoral fellows with research interests in host genetics and viral interactions in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). We develop inter-disciplinary methods including experimental techniques and technology development around hiPSCs from AD patients, as well as computational and statistical genetics/genomics methods. Ideal candidates have strong backgrounds in human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs) and neuronal differentiation, and experience with flow cytometry, FACS sorting and CRISPR/Cas9 editing. Candidates with strong backgrounds in quantitative human genetics and genomics, bioinformatics or computational biology, and who are interested in learning experimental techniques and technologies to complement their quantitative backgrounds, are also highly encouraged to apply.

The University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a qualified applicant to become a member of the leadership team focused on maintaining a safe environment for faculty staff, patients and visitors. The Department maintains a strong community-oriented presence with a visible presence in the school and hospital environment completing regular patrols and responding to emergencies and calls for service. In addition, the department maintains a full-time dispatch center with civilian dispatchers responsible for call taking and dispatching of police units. All Police Officers are sworn under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 75. Section 32A, have the same law enforcement authority as Municipal Police, and are trained at Municipal Police Academies.
