POSITION SUMMERY:
Under the general direction of the Director or designee, the Project Manager III bleads organization-wide large projects. The Project Manager III is responsible for initiating action on multiple projects in a matrix environment. Tasks vary according to the priorities of the organization.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general supervision of the Building Equipment & Maintenance Manager or designee, the Sr. Facilities Specialist-Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, monitoring and operation of all building systems and equipment. Maintains records, installs, repairs, modifies and maintains mechanical systems and equipment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Associate Director or designee, the Sponsored Programs Administrator provides program support to principal investigators, administrators and staff regarding the timely completion of required documents for institutional approval of sponsored programs applications. The Sponsored Programs Administrator will also provide direction and assistance in all sponsored programs processes while adhering to sponsor, institutional, state, and federal guidelines.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Medical Director, or designee, the Director of Health Services is responsible for the Department's health initiatives, working in close collaboration with quality management, risk management and operations. The Director of Health Services is a position that is hired and managed by the Center for Developmental Disabilities Evaluation and Research (CDDER) at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center at UMass Chan Medical School that will be embedded in the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Health Care Finance Solutions (HCFS) unit provides consulting and operational services to state agencies and public municipalities within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and nationally, currently serving 18 states. Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of HCFS, the Program Director will manage certain revenue and cost savings programs and functions across state health and human service agencies. Those functions will include directing and managing business operations that identify sources to offset health care costs by maximizing third party benefits and cost sharing opportunities, identifying liable payers, and billing, claiming, and recovering for the costs of health care services in a timely fashion. In addition, the Program Director will lead the development and implementation of new business strategies and operations to meet internal and external client goals and develop and implement new projects and business opportunities.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Director of Public Safety or designee, the Police Officer patrols assigned areas of property used, owned or occupied by the University of Massachusetts Medical Center and areas adjacent to the University/Hospital to provide a safe and secure environment for all members of the University/Hospital community by means of an alert and vigilant preventive patrol. University Police Officers deliver a wide variety of services consistent with the needs of the University, its students, staff, patients, and visitors and provide emergency coverage in various classifications.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Review Center (QARC) is a QA and data center within UMass Chan Medical School, Department of Radiation Oncology. QARC provides Radiation Therapy and Diagnostic Imaging services in support of cancer clinical trials. QARC provides these services to the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as well as to several pharmaceutical companies sponsoring cancer clinical trials.
Under the Director of Operations, the Manager of QARC Clinical Trial / Data Management (CTM) is responsible for all operational aspects of the Division of Data Management. This position is instrumental in the planning, implementation, and tracking of all clinical trial management and data operations. An individual in this role provides project and data management oversight and ensures daily operations are performed in accordance with organizational standards and Sponsor/NCTN Group obligations.
The CTM works closely with the Directors of Operations, Physics and Dosimetry, and Information Systems on strategic planning and establishing the direction and priorities for the organization while developing and maintaining key relationships with NCTN members and industry leaders.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Facility Medical Director, the psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adult patients in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. The patient population served consists of adults with chronic and persistent mental health conditions served by the state’s mental health authority. Patients have complex bio-psycho-social needs and may be forensically involved.
The Puig Laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral fellow with training or expertise in opioid neuropharmacology, rodent behavior and circuits. Our lab is engaged in several projects focused on investigating the neurocircuitry, signaling and genetics mediating opioid analgesia, tolerance, and opioid use disorders. The candidate will join a highly interactive and collaborative research team with the opportunity to interact among research groups across multiple departments and institutions. The funded fellowship is for 3 years, providing opportunities for training in psychiatry, neurobiology, translational neuroscience, biochemistry, molecular biology, microscopy imaging, ‘-omics’, computational biology, and cell culture.
The Postdoctoral fellow will contribute to and lead projects that aim to understand the molecular/cellular mechanisms and circuits underlying opioid mediated side effects. Approaches in our laboratory include (but not restricted to) rodent behavioral pharmacology, optogenetics, biochemistry (Western/IP-IB/ELISA), molecular biology (PCR/RT-PCR), immuno- or probe-labeling (IHC/FISH/RNAscope), microscopy (fluorescence/confocal/slide scanning/live-cell), cell culture, gene transfection (AAV, lipofection), protein/RNA extraction, single nuclei RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and bulk tissue proteomics. They will be able to use and be trained at techniques described above and will be encouraged to bring/develop novel methods and approaches based on interests and evolution of the projects. Current projects investigate the biology of opioid signaling in chronic pain and opioid use disorder, with the opportunity to expand into new substances and research areas of disease. Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research projects.
- Designs, develops, and performs experiments independently and in collaboration with other lab members.
- Analyzes, interprets, and presents data at laboratory meetings as well as at local and international meetings.
- Assists with manuscript preparation and submission, along with reporting of methods, data, and results for grant submissions at private and federal levels
Qualifications
- PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, psychiatry or related fields
- Experience in rodent neuropharmacology and behavioral analysis is required
- Preferred experience in mouse/rat genetics, optogenetics/chemogenetics
- Preferred experience in the several of the following: cell culture, biochemistry, molecular biology, microscopy, standard bioinformatics tools and packages; understanding of R and/or Python; and understanding of statistics, computational analysis of ‘omics datasets, such as RNA-seq is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize efforts across multiple projects, work collaboratively with technicians, graduate students, other postdoctoral fellows, and senior researchers.
