GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Director, Project Management & Implementation or designee, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for supporting information technology projects at ForHealth Consulting. The overall responsibility of this position is to ensure that projects address customer requirements, and projects are completed on time and within budget. The project manager will adhere to Forhealth Consulting project management guidelines, with the goal of insuring quality deliverables that achieve customer satisfaction.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Chief Medical Officer/Director of Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) or his/her designee, the Program Manager, Population Health manages the day-to-day operations of short term and multi-year population health projects. Interacting with business users, and communicating business needs, this position will have the general responsibility for generating files, reports and datasets upon requests, which may entail generating code in SQL or SAS to extract data from the Data Warehouse and generate output files in a format as requested by users or others, as directed. The Research Nurse Coordinator II is a primary resource for study protocol conduct acting as a liaison between the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, clinical partners (ex. University of Massachusetts Memorial Health Care (UMMHC)), the Principal Investigator, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and sponsors to ensure good clinical practice standards (GCP) throughout the life cycle of the study.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
We currently have an opening for a Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Michelle Kelliher at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical Center. The Kelliher lab studies how leukemia develops using genetically engineered mouse models and patient derived xenografts. We are focused on understanding the molecular and cellular basis of chemoresistance and relapse in an effort to develop novel therapeutic approaches. Our lab uses innovative mouse modeling approaches and single cell sequencing and chromatin accessibility methods to identify features of leukemic stem or initiating cells thought to mediate relapse. This position offers opportunities for career development, including possibly designing and executing independent experiments which could lead to publication.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Implementation Specialist works closely with leadership in state agencies and their partners, as well as other state agencies and UMass Chan partnering faculty, to align resources and functions and develop an infrastructure to support implementation efforts and program improvement for improving client outcomes. The Specialist is a leadership role that will direct our Implementation Science Practice Program following the guidance of the Faculty Program Co-Chairs at iSPARC. The Implementation Specialist is responsible for the implementation of projects, promoting change in state service systems and other partner programs, and identification and marketing of faculty trainings and technical assistance programs to key stakeholders (e.g., mental health provider agencies).

We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented individual to join our gene therapy lab in learning and working with cutting edge vector research and development to treat neurodegenerative diseases affecting children and adults. The candidate, under the direction of Dr. Miguel Sena-Esteves and Dr. Rita Batista, will be working as part of the Li Weibo Institute for Rare Diseases Research, the Horae Gene Therapy Center, and the Department of Neurology – in a multidisciplinary team to develop gene therapies for neurological diseases. Our lab is currently researching Neurofibromatosis type I, GNAO1, TNNT1 nemaline myopathy, Dravet Syndrome, Diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas, Cockayne Syndrome, Alzheimer’s Disease, among others. The Research Associate will work closely and interact with other lab members to design and execute in-vitro and in-vivo experiments testing the toxicity and biodistribution of new vectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, including PCR, Western Blots, and tissue culture, as well as have strong record keeping and organizational skills.

Job Description
Postdoctoral Associate in the Ceol lab.
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Craig Ceol in the Program in Molecular Medicine and Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Our laboratory uses the zebrafish and mammalian cultured cells to study genes and biochemical mechanisms that regulate melanocyte regeneration and melanoma progression. We utilize a range of genomic techniques to identify and study candidate genes and pathways. We also complement these studies with unbiased genetic approaches designed to discover novel developmental and tumorigenic mechanisms.
Qualifications:
- We are seeking a candidate who is motivated, enjoys creative thinking and brings enthusiasm to research.
- Candidates must have a recent Ph.D in the biological sciences. Tissue culture experience is preferred but not required.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Animal Facility Supervisor or Designee, the Animal Care Technician performs a variety of duties related to the care of laboratory animals. Primary responsibilities are to maintain a clean and healthy environment for laboratory animals and observe animals for their general health and well- being. The position is considered essential, and as such requires weekend, holiday and off hour’s coverage as needed.

Under the direction of the Clinical Director or designee, the Psychologist Ii assists in planning and delivery of psychological services, including coordination of interdisciplinary treatment and behavior support plans.
We are inviting applications for postdoctoral positions to pursue multiple research topics that encompass: gene therapy using AAV vectors, RNA therapy, gene editing, immunology, virology, and AAV vector development.
Applicants should have a PhD degree or an MD with post-graduate scientific training, and at least three years of research experience in relevant areas such as Molecular Biology, RNA biology, Biochemistry, animal modeling, Immunology, Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy, Bioengineering, Neuromuscular Biology, Cell Biology, and Virology.
Applicants with backgrounds in molecular cloning, mouse work, NHP work, gene editing, microscopy, human and mouse genetics, next-gen sequencing, bioinformatics, single-cell sequencing, or protein/structural biology are preferred.
Applicants must also have the ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects, concurrently. Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.

Under the general supervision of the Associate Director, or designee, the Clinical Reviewer II is responsible for completing Pre-Admission Screening Resident Reviews (PASRR) Level II Evaluations by conducting face to face evaluations and reviewing medical records, in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. This position ensures that individuals with mental illness (MI), seeking admission to or currently residing in a nursing facility, receive an in-person evaluation and nursing facility placement determination.

Additional Information:
The focus of the Wolfe Laboratory is the development of genome editing (CRISPR/Cas systems) and gene regulation (zinc finger proteins) tools for the development of new classes of therapeutics. The successful candidate would be a part of an interdisciplinary team of laboratory scientists, clinicians, and computational biologists that are working on therapeutics for a variety of hematopoietic and neuromuscular disorders. We are looking for a candidate that would be a key player in purifying and characterizing novel genome editing proteins that would be used to develop therapies for these disorders – with these reagents potentially being used in clinical trials.

- Protein purification (AKTA-based)

- Basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, Restriction Enzyme mediated cloning, Gel electrophoresis, Qiagen DNA miniprep).

Under the direction of the assigned manager, the Applied Public Policy Scholarly Project Graduate Intern (APP Graduate Intern) is responsible for project-based tasks to support a designated department under the on-going tutelage of a professional Mentor. These tasks may be administrative or research oriented, depending on the department. Assigned projects will require advanced analytical and communications skills. For research-based departments, the Graduate Intern will be responsible for complex laboratory tasks. Primary communications will be in a team environment within assigned department and will be focused on collecting the appropriate input for the assigned projects. As part of the educational component, participants will meet to make basic presentations highlighting the policy choices, challenges, and decision options that they discover regarding the work in which they are engaged.Specific job responsibilities will vary by department but may include information gathering, analysis, writing, editing and/or laboratory work.
This is a temporary, non-benefited role. All Interns will be paid a total of $6,500 for their semester of work for a total of 260 hours over a typical 15-week semester, equating to about 18 hours per week at $25 an hour.
NOTE: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of their Scholarly Practice Internship (usually one full semester). Please note work authorization in the U.S. must be for an employer other than your host institution where you are pursuing a degree.
