GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: The UMMS Revenue Operations Program is a newly created organization charged with consolidating and centralizing revenue functions for all of the Health and Human Service agencies under the umbrella of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS). The goals of the Revenue Operations Program are to maximize revenue for the Commonwealth and to coordinate revenue resources to insure that the Commonwealth is the payor of last resort.     The Revenue Operations Assistant Director is responsible to direct, manage, plan and provide leadership to a large revenue operations unit that spreads over two or more EOHHS agencies.  The Revenue Operations Assistant Director must have a working knowledge of the EOHHS health and human service programs and the rules that govern the revenue of those programs.  The Assistant Director must provide the strong communication skills to lead the vision of newly formed revenue operations unit and the centralization and redesign of revenue at EOHHS. The Assistant Director must have the ability to accomplish work objectives where few precedents or guidelines are available.  The position requires flexibility in thinking skills and the drive for improvement.   This position is funded through an Interagency Service Agreement (ISA) with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and is located in Boston with moderate travel to the UMMS Worcester campus required.
