GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Associate Director, or designee, the Fraud Investigator II serves a crucial role in combating fraud, waste and abuse (“FWA”) within the Medicaid program. Investigations involve extensive research to identify industry trends and patterns which target aberrant billing practices. The Investigator II collaborates with the Associate Director on more complex case reviews as needed, in addition to performing activities related to data mining, data analysis and recoveries. With increasing independence, the Investigator II is assigned to multiple provider types and serves as a senior investigator in the Unit., The Investigator II will coach other investigators on developing techniques to find provider schemes based on federal and state regulations that govern Medicaid.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Associate Director or designee, the Program Auditor serves a crucial role in combating fraud, waste and abuse (FWA) within the Medicaid program. A major function of this position is to conduct desk and onsite reviews based on federal and state regulations that govern provider types. Audits involve extensive research to identify industry trends and patterns in order to detect aberrant billing practices. Working independently, or within a team, the Auditor performs all activities related to data mining, claims analysis, and auditing. The auditor will participate in face to face entrance and exit conferences with providers utilizing established interviewing skills.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Manager or designee, the Healthcare Data Analyst II will perform data analyses for assigned projects and develop/ produce all related reports. This position will conduct information gathering to provide leadership with the necessary tools to determine the best data analytic practices to position the business unit for addressing client needs. The Healthcare Data Analyst II will also begin to develop analytic consulting skills and utilize a customer service focus in order to design and deliver analytic products that meet or exceed client expectations. This position will be required to work on multiple concurrent projects while managing to successfully complete deliverables with an increasing level of independence.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs or designee, the Senior Academic Personnel Specialist provides high-level and diverse program support and coordination on multiple programs within the Office of Faculty Affairs. The Senior Academic Personnel Specialist will assist the Vice Provost or Committee Chairs in leading and documenting program activities and may take the lead on sub-components. The Senior Academic Personnel Special will develop and implement administrative efficiencies and cost savings while adhering to UMMS’s policies and guidelines.
This position's main duties will surround the day-to-day needs of assigned programs. There will be a significant amount of data collection, entry and analysis responsibilities as it relates to assigned programs and is responsible for reporting findings to senior management. This level will also support the faculty life cycle processes to include tracking and maintaining deadlines, drafting appropriate pieces of communications, and engaging with key personnel to ensure timely submissions. This position will assist with the development of new administrative processes and institutional guidelines, drafting program schedules and communications for approval. This position may supervise junior and/or volunteer staff.
POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Sr. Pharmacy Operations Program Coordinator provides a full range of advanced level complex support services. The primary responsibilities of the program coordinator includes providing pharmacy service to Medicaid providers, review pharmacy claims for accurate billing, screen for fraud, waste and abuse, handle in-coming calls from pharmacy providers, conducting outreach and follow up calls to members and or pharmacies to ensure access to medications, updating client records in proprietary database and reporting program activities and results.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee, this position provides direct administrative support and services necessary for the completion of professional medical responsibilities and functions for DES’ skilled professional medical personnel (SPMP), i.e. DES Physician and Psychologist Advisors, Disability and Appeals Reviewers, Program Managers and the Clinical Manager. The Disability Assistant makes complex decisions regarding protected healthcare information, based on the Federal Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). This position is responsible for exercising judgment on all administrative and clerical aspects of the case in conjunction with and at the direction of DES SPMP. The Disability Assistant is a primary customer service interface for DES’ SPMP with clients and external agencies.

Under the supervision of the Animal Facility Supervisor or Designee, the Animal Care Technician performs a variety of duties related to the care of laboratory animals. Primary responsibilities are to maintain a clean and healthy environment for laboratory animals and observe animals for their general health and well- being. The position is considered essential, and as such requires weekend, holiday and off hour’s coverage as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Operations Manager or designee, the Team Lead is responsible for client training, presentations, education, development & delivery of webinar trainings, and occasional travel for trainings at client locations. This position will be the lead customer service contact for client requests, escalated calls, and other assigned program areas. The Team Lead is also responsible for coaching and educating unit operations staff including oversight of the call center team.

Postdoctoral Associate in the Cavacini Lab.
A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Lisa Cavacini in the Division of Innate Immunity, Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Our laboratory conducts discovery and pre-clinical development of biologics to prevent or treat disease. Diseases include infectious disease (viral and bacterial) and immunoregulatory conditions. Not only do we discover human monoclonal or VHH antibodies to prevent or treat disease, but also perform IND-enabling studies to progress to clinical trials. Most of the delivery platforms for these biologics are local delivery to the mucosal tissue.
