Under the direction of the Bursar and Assistant Bursar, the Banking & Cash Management Specialist is responsible for opening and closing the cashiering module of Peoplesoft Campus Solutions (“PSCS”) system on a daily basis, performing daily and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, cash receipts, and the unclassified account, and overseeing the policies and procedures for cash and credit card receipting, petty cash, and student financials. In addition, the Banking & Cash Management Specialist provides daily supervision to other staff members in the Bursar’s Office who process and post payments received by the University of Massachusetts Medical School (“UMMS”), to ensure compliance with the University policy, campus internal control measures, and generally accepted accounting principles.

The Health Care Finance Solutions (HCFS) group in Commonwealth Medicine, a division of UMass Medical School, administers the SSP on behalf of DTA.

The Song Lab at University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) (https://www.umassmed.edu/songlab/) develops functional biomaterials for scaffold-guided skeletal tissue (bone and cartilage) regeneration and implant surface modifications to combat periprosthetic infections. Supported by the NIH, foundation and translational grants, our current research projects include on-demand drug release / surface engineering for combating implant-associated infections caused by S. aureus (e.g. ACS Central Science 2019, 5(12):1929), translation of 3D printed or electrospun degradable shape memory polymer scaffolds for guided bone regeneration (e.g. Science Translational Medicine 2019, 11(502), eaau7411; Advanced Functional Material 2017, 1604784), and the development and application of bio-orthogonally crosslinked viscoelastic hydrogels with broadly tuned, predictive degradative and mechanical cues for stem cell delivery and cartilage regeneration (e.g. ACS Central Science 2018; 4(8):971; Journal of the American Chemical Society 2014; 136(11):4105).

Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Research Associate II performs a variety of complex research experiments and is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations within the Department.
We are inviting applications for postdoctoral positions to pursue multiple research topics that encompass: gene therapy using AAV vectors, RNA therapy, gene editing, immunology, virology, and AAV vector development.
Applicants should have a PhD degree or an MD with post-graduate scientific training, and at least three years of research experience in relevant areas such as Molecular Biology, RNA biology, Biochemistry, animal modeling, Immunology, Gene Therapy, Cell Therapy, Bioengineering, Neuromuscular Biology, Cell Biology, and Virology.
Applicants with backgrounds in molecular cloning, mouse work, NHP work, gene editing, microscopy, human and mouse genetics, next-gen sequencing, bioinformatics, single-cell sequencing, or protein/structural biology are preferred.
Applicants must also have the ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects, concurrently. Strong writing, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.

Under the direction of the assigned manager, the Graduate Intern is responsible for project-based tasks to support a designated department.
