The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about learning how a professional multimedia communications and marketing team fulfills its mission to tell the story of UMass Medical School, primarily by highlighting the achievements of faculty and focusing on health and science topics, and graduate students in the medical, biomedical research and nursing fields. The communications and marketing intern will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of strategic communications team meetings and discussions; shadow professionals engaged in a variety of roles (including writing, multimedia content creation, social media and marketing); gain insight into the goals and responsibilities of a professional communications operation; and create their own content in collaboration with and under the supervision of members of the Office of Communications.   The Office of Communications is a busy, collegial, and collaborative professional environment, with a mission to promote the work and accomplishments of UMass Medical School faculty, students and staff.
