Under the direction of the Senior Director of Workplace Equity and Inclusion, or designee, the Work Incentives Counseling Supervisor (WIC Supervisor) is certified by the U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA) as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) or Community Partner Work Incentives Coordinator (CPWIC) and has eight years or more experience providing benefits and work incentives counseling services to beneficiaries of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Counseling services includes information on how employment will affect eligibility for SSI, SSDI and other federal, state, and local public benefits such as Medicaid, Medicare, subsidized housing, and food stamps. In addition, the WIC Supervisor provides daily supervision, technical assistance, and oversight of Work Incentives Counselors (WICs) who are in training to be certified by the SSA as a CWIC or CPWIC and WICs and Senior WICs who are certified as CWICs or CPWICs by an approved SSA program.
The goal of the WIC Supervisor position is to ensure all UMass Chan and SSA procedures and protocols are adhered to including but not limited to the secure handling of Personally Identifiable Information, and the provision of accurate and up-to-date information that will enable SSI and SSDI beneficiaries to make informed choices towards employment and self-sufficiency.
Services are provided to beneficiaries primarily via telephone or videoconference while some services may be provided in-person upon request or need from the beneficiary. This is a remote position that requires a private, quiet space with the ability to access reliable internet and protect beneficiary information.
The WIC Supervisor must currently have or immediately obtain SSA Suitability Clearance upon hire.

The Pathology Department at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School specifically focuses on immunology and immunopathology research, with the purpose of uncovering cellular mechanisms that drive disease. The NIH-funded laboratory team, led by Dr. Kiera Clayton, is currently looking to fill the position of Research Technician I or II, entry level immunologist positions. Research interests include the characterization of human NK cell, CD8+ T cell, and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell responses to HIV-infected macrophages and identifying pathways involved in perforin/granzyme resistance with the goal of designing therapies to eliminate HIV-infected macrophages (https://www.clayton-lab.org/). Many of these projects involve collaborations with established labs at various universities and hospitals, including Harvard University, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, MIT, the Ragon Institute, Boston University, and Weill Cornell Medicine. Additional networks with startup and mid-level biotech companies are also established. The ideal candidate for this position would have a background in immunology, virology, and biochemistry, an interest in a career in medical sciences, and experience working in a previous laboratory setting. Training provided would prepare the candidate for graduate school, medical school, or a Research Associate position in industry. Experimental day-to-day work will include working with human samples, making HIV stocks, performing live infections, flow cytometry, molecular cloning, and microscopy.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Facility Medical Director, the psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adult patients in either an inpatient or outpatient setting. The patient population served consists of adults with chronic and persistent mental health conditions served by the state’s mental health authority. Patients have complex bio-psycho-social needs and may be forensically involved.
This is a Part-Time 20hour per week position.

The Benefit Coordination and Recovery (BCR) team is seeking a Senior Manager who will oversee department operations, contract management, and revenue and recovery projects. Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, or designee, the Senior Manager will lead the BCR teams project activities, supervising all aspects of projects from inception to implementation as relates to coordination of benefits & recovery. The position will oversee the operations and financial performance of Coordination of Benefits (COB) Claims and Retroactive Medicare Recovery Project business units. The role will manage multiple concurrent cost saving projects, conducting research and analyses for assigned projects. The Senior Manager will utilize analytic consulting skills with a customer service focus to design and deliver quality products/services that meet or exceed client expectations. The successful candidate will have an extensive medical claims billing and processing background as well as proven experience with leading teams in dynamic operation settings.
