General Summary
Reporting to the Executive Vice Chancellor (EVC) at ForHealth Consulting at UMass Chan Medical School, the "Executive Advisor, Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Affairs (EAERRA)" will be an executive leadership role in ForHealth Consulting and will lead efforts to identify, assess, and manage risks impacting ForHealth Consulting. This individual will have a direct impact on the success of the entire business portfolio at ForHealth Consulting. In this leadership position, the candidate must demonstrate influencing skills and organizational savvy to effectively interact with multiple internal business unit leaders at ForHealth Consulting, key stakeholders throughout the broader UMass Chan Medical School and University of Massachusetts system, and many other external partners in public and private organizations.
The Executive Advisor, Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Affairs will provide strategic guidance to the ForHealth Consulting leadership team relating to risk management, contracting, government compliance, operational matters, and business growth opportunities. The EAERRA may also support the delivery of client facing work in the areas of public policy, regulatory, legislative and compliance consulting. The incumbent will work closely with ForHealth Consulting Deputy Executive Vice Chancellor, Associate Executive Vice Chancellors (AEVCs) and Managing Directors (MDs) to anticipate and address potential legal risks related to new and existing ForHealth business initiatives and internal processes; serve as a creative problem solver for complex business, legal, and compliance challenges to facilitate the development of business strategy and subsequent growth in products and services; and lead negotiations on behalf of ForHealth Consulting where appropriate. The EAERRA will be the primary liaison between ForHealth Consulting and the UMass Chan Office of Management and will work collaboratively with that office to facilitate effective enterprise risk management, a culture of compliance, and effective business relationships that foster growth in revenue and margin. The Executive Advisor, Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Affairs will work in accordance with UMass Chan policies and practices. This individual is expected to become a trusted advisor and integral part of the ForHealth leadership team.
The Executive Advisor, Enterprise Risk and Regulatory Affairs will perform a wide range of activities related to ForHealth Consulting’s business operations, including being the executive sponsor to the ForHealth consulting risk management committee. The EAERRA will also oversee the ForHealth Central Contracting Office advising on contract terms and conditions, procurement strategy, policy, regulation, data privacy, corporate matters and commercial transactions related to the development of service offerings, client contracting, and delivery of services. The incumbent may also be called on to contribute to client facing work products, especially on engagements in the domains of public policy, regulatory or legislative consulting. In these instances, the EAERRA would become part of a project team responsible for the production of deliverables to clients.

This candidate should be a resourceful, confident leader who will deeply understand the goals, business, delivery approach, and mission of ForHealth Consulting and leverage their expertise to drive that work forward and work collaboratively with related departments to achieve desired outcomes.

ForHealth Consulting (previously Commonwealth Medicine) is the consulting and operations division of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMass Chan).
