Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the Office of Survey Research Call Center Supervisor, the Survey Research Interviewer is responsible for conducting interviews via telephone by reading survey questions from a computer screen and entering the answers into the survey system.    

 

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

 

  • Conduct interviews by telephone and accurately enter responses to survey questions into the survey system
  • Follow survey research procedures and guidelines to obtain high quality information
  • Follow guidelines to persuade reluctant respondents to take the survey over the phone
  • Maintain confidentiality of respondent information according to HIPAA, University, and the Office of Survey Research guidelines
  • Participate in quality assurance processes for all tasks
  • Participate in on-the-job training and the support of other staff members as directed
  • Comply with established University and the Office of Survey Research policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

 

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 0-6 months prior experience necessary
  • Since this is remote work, must have a quiet space to work in with WiFi connectivity so that the confidentiality of the survey information can be maintained
  • Clear speaking voice
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good typing skills
  • Must be available to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required. 

Additional Information

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-12 months call center experience
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish)
