The Nonhuman Primate Reagent Resource (NHPRR) at UMass Chan Medical School, under the leadership of Diogo Magnani, invites you to join our dynamic team as an Industry Postdoctoral Scientist I. As a premier research group, we focus on discovering, developing, and manufacturing biologics specifically designed for studies with nonhuman primate models of human disease. The successful candidate will join a growing resource with 25+ years of experience, delivering products to 1,000 research laboratories, representing 22 countries, and supporting over 3,600 grants. As an Industry Postdoctoral Scientist I, you play a crucial role in advancing the research and operations of NHPRR, delivering specialized biologics to research laboratories worldwide, and supporting thousands of research projects that drive the future of science.
About the Role:
Reporting to the director and supported by designated mentors, managers, and associate directors, the Industry Postdoctoral Scientist I will be responsible for initiating and executing preclinical scientific research and development strategies for therapeutic biologics. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a unique biotechnology environment where you will investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to new inventions and products. This two-year, non-faculty position is specifically crafted to bridge the skill gap between advanced academic training and the practical, product-centric industrial application of biotechnology.
