GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general supervision of the Director, the Maintenance Co-Generation Engineer III supervises the maintenance and repair of 13,000 volt main circuit breakers and steam, electricity, and chilled water systems. Responsible for management of Power Plants maintenance function and the operation of the machine shop. Supervises the Co-Generation Engineers I and II’s, Electricians and other Maintenance Personnel. Responsible for total operation of Power Plant in the absence of the Director.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
Exercises direct supervision of the Co-Generation plant with a minimum of two (2) Third Class Engineers (Massachusetts) may supervise one (1) Co-Generation Utility Operator Steam (1st Fireman Massachusetts) per shift and utility people as needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May perform work in all Medical Center facilities and is subject to possible exposure to chemicals, gases, electrical shock; may work in confined spaces on ladders. Ability to perform physically arduous tasks; normal dexterity, visual acuity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolding, and work in confined areas
