The Flavahan lab has postdoctoral training positions available, focused on cancer epigenetics and chromatin biology. We use cutting-edge techniques to investigate the cancer epigenome. First, we seek to uncover how cryptic tumor drivers, such as mutations in metabolic enzymes or histone subunits, signal through the epigenome to activate oncogenic pathways. Second, we are examining how the three-dimensional structure of the genome directs cancer cell responses and tumor progression. Postdoctoral positions are available for these and related projects. Experience in brain tumor or epigenetic research is preferred but not required.
