  • Overview



    Reporting to the National Market Development Director, the Business Development Coordinator supports the development and execution of business development pipeline activities through the coordination activities including market development and sales support for the Business Development Strategy team, internal business unit leaders, and collaborator organizations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supporting business development, sales planning and the consultative sales cycle including: direct lead outreach, sales presentation support, account management and market development research, Salesforce follow up, data quality maintenance and report generation, internal and external information coordination.



    • Partner with business units to coordinate strategic growth opportunities and pipeline development activities.
    • Support client account management and strategic growth activities through tracking external information on client growth strategy including: market share, product development toward a deepened understanding of client business and market penetration needs.
    • Participate in consultative sales cycle including direct outreach to leads including pardot email campaigns, sales calls, and conference support.
    • Support the creation of business development presentations by taking the lead on organizing the necessary resources to develop high quality presentations and coordinating lay-out, graphics, and visuals with Marketing Communications.
    • Assist in gathering key information to expedite the sales process, proposal development and contract closure.
    • Support business development and sales planning including conducting research on potential clients, industry groups and potential channel partners to understand their operational, legal, and organizational capabilities and challenges.
    • Validates and updates sales pipeline, financial and demographic information maintained in Salesforce and other CRM systems.
    • Conduct periodic data quality monitoring and data “clean-up” with sales data. 
    • Respond to Marketing/Sales support questions for Salesforce from internal staff.
    • Run routine and targeted reports for Sales & Marketing from Salesforce, Pardot or related pipeline management systems.
    • Coordinate response to inquiries and content development with other internal operational departments (Compliance, Finance, Information Technology, and Marketing Communications) and business line leads and staff.
    • Partner with business unit operations to coordinate win/loss interviews and analysis with internal and external customers.
    • Manage Pardot and Salesforce generated follow up including phone calls and emails.
    • Coordinate with business development operations.
    • Perform other duties as required.



    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, public administration, or related field; or equivalent related experience.
    • 1-3 years of experience in business development support.
    • Experience in a financial and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning and/or coordinating
    • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities and re-prioritize as necessary.
    • Strong knowledge of Salesforce, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, and ability to research, evaluate and manage software applications for identified business needed.
    • Demonstrated successful experience working in a fast-paced, sophisticated, complex, entrepreneurial, and highly matrixed organization.
    • Previous project management experience.
    • Detail oriented.


    • General knowledge of the healthcare system, health policy and Medicare and Medicaid payment systems.
