A Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Lucio Castilla in the Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology, at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. Dr. Castilla’s laboratory focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of leukemia development, and the development of effective targeted therapies. We combine genetic, molecular, pharmacologic and genomic approaches to study the factors driving preleukemia expansion, transformation, and resistance. New technologies and approaches are included as they are required in the projects.
Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD), and a track record of productivity with peer-reviewed publications. Candidates should be able to discuss literature related to the projects in the laboratory with proficiency. The postdocs will work in a collaborative environment, mentored by Professor Castilla, who is committed to foster a strong and competitive career development of the trainees.
