MR2240 Research Associate: Luzuriaga Laboratory, Program in Molecular medicine
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator or Designee, the Research Associate performs a variety of complex research experiments. The Luzuriaga Laboratory uses state of the art technologies to investigate how viruses like HIV and Epstein Barr virus establish persistent infections in humans and cause disease.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Wet chemistry laboratory, and may require appropriate contact with biohazards, radionuclides, toxins, animals, and human specimens.
Passion for applying scientific investigation to understand the viral etiology of human diseases and to develop new therapeutic approaches; expertise in molecular biology, aseptic, and tissue culture techniques; excellent oral and written communication skills.
