  • Overview

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Center for Health Care Financing (CHCF) has a unique opportunity for a Graduate Intern to perform project-based tasks to support a designated department, under direction of the assigned manager.  Specific job responsibilities are administrative in nature and may vary, but will include information gathering, research, analysis, writing, editing, reporting and/or presentations.  These tasks will require advanced analytical and communications skills. Primary communications will be in a team environment within assigned department and will focus on collecting the appropriate input for the assigned projects to provide tabular and graphic summaries of analyses in a form suitable for inclusion in executive summary reports, business publications or for presentation at meetings.  This is a temporary, non-benefitted role.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (Administrative):

    • Perform complex and varied executive/administrative tasks  which require a high degree of independent action and the setting of priorities and procedures
    • Conduct advanced research to assist other team members
    • Create reports and perform in-depth data analysis
    • Implement and manage tasks in accordance with departmental objectives
    • Perform assigned project tasks within specified timeframes
    • Perform other duties as required

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Graduate school candidate
    • Related experience preferred
    • Advanced analytical and communication skills
    • Attention to detail with the ability to collect and record information from a wide variety of sources 
    • Ability to use standard office tools and software (MS-Office)
    • Must be reliable and able to set consistent work hours

    Under the direction of the assigned manager

    ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Usual office environment or laboratory environment

    Additional Information

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Ability to learn new issues quickly.
    • Ability to take initiative on assignments and work independently.
    • Experience presenting complex data, analyses and information in easily understood formats.
    • Experience in using data analysis and query software, such as SQL.
