GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the assigned manager, the Graduate Intern is responsible for project-based tasks to support UMass Medical School’s Work Without Limits initiative and the Campus to Careers pilot project in collaboration with the National Organization on Disability (NOD). Campus to Career partners with select MA colleges to identify and connect college students and graduates with disabilities to intern and job opportunities with hiring employers. Assigned tasks may be administrative, research or service delivery oriented and will require advanced analytical, communications and interpersonal skills. Primary communications will be in a team environment within the assigned department (Work Without Limits); secondary communications will be with external project partners including NOD staff, college personnel and students, and employers and will be focused on collecting the appropriate input for the assigned projects. Specific job responsibilities will vary but may include developing and implementing an outreach strategy to students inclusive of social media, information gathering, and analysis, connecting students to employers, writing and editing, and project and event planning. This is a temporary, non-benefitted role expected to last up to one year.
